Immediate Roadside Prohibition (IRP) or Administrative Driving Prohibition (ADP)

With the new Impaired Driving Laws, it is rare now in BC to be charged criminally with impaired Driving. The majority of cases are now dealt with by roadside prohibitions done by the police. If your ability to drive is affected by alcohol or a drug, or you unlawfully refuse to provide a breath sample, you could receive a three, seven or 90 day driving prohibition along with having your vehicle impounded for up to one month.
